About Our Client
Our client is a leading European manufacturer of high performance abrasives, coatings, and tools for the automotive refinishing, wood & furniture, and decorative verticals. They have been in business for over 40 years and are looking to build out their collision repair, RV, and automotive refinishing markets.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with clients to assess their needs and align our solutions with their objectives.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Midwest region to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand market share.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create customized solutions and proposals for clients.
- Market and Product Expertise:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Provide expertise on abrasives products, including their applications and benefits.
- Train and educate clients on product features, usage, and maintenance.
- Order Management and Coordination:
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including order processing, delivery coordination, and follow-up.
- Work with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales performance and provide regular reports on key metrics, including sales figures, client feedback, and market trends.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies and support business goals.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management within the abrasives or related industry.
- Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex technical information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the Midwest region to meet with clients and attend events.
