Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the AEC industry, and a proven track record of effectively managing financial operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our accounting team and contribute to the financial success of our organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform Revenue Recognition for project portfolio
  • Prepare month-end / adhoc reporting and analysis
  • Manage Billing / project accounting staff and provide training
  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive profitability.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional development and ensure high performance.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, and in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, preferably within the AEC industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., PROCAS, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making.
