50-75% TRAVEL - REMOTE OUTSIDE OF TRAVEL
*Description:*
Primarily be in charge of the support, repair, and upgrades of installed systems at client facilities and on-site commissioning of equipment from a controls standpoint with in-depth knowledge of the electrical and/or mechanical installation.
- Ability to troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems using PLC software to localize issues
- Application knowledge of warehouse distribution systems (pallet or tote conveyor, storage and retrieval machines, monorail systems, etc)
- Reading and programming in multiple PLC languages in use for project and training purposes
- Responsible for scratch development and modification of existing PLC and HMI software for customer automation systems on a project basis
- Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting of automation systems to reduce customer downtime
- Provides onsite team with guidance on standards for electrical wiring and labeling
- Customer interaction and problem resolution knowledge
- Lead on-site project team, including external vendors, to a successful implementation

*Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
- Completed a degree in electrical engineering/automation technology as a Bachelor, Master, technician (or comparable)
- 5-7 years of experience in technical environment inclusive of strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Industrial experience with sound knowledge of electro-mechanical or automation systems
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Develop how to and work documentation for internal and external review
- Develop documentation and knowledge base articles as required by projects for internal and external use
- High level of motivation and sound work ethic
- Travel as required to support projects, which may include weekends and some holidays
