Join our Modern Work (MW) Technical Specialists team as a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager. In this role, you will mentor, coach, and collaborate with a team of technical solution experts. Your leadership and technical acumen will be pivotal in developing your team’s ability to demonstrate solution capabilities, manage technical proof requirements, and secure customer endorsements for solution designs.

Your team will partner with Modern Work Solution Specialists to fuel our qualified pipeline, shape deal strategies, deliver persuasive pitches, guide licensing processes, and engage with our partners. As a key player in team management, you will direct your team towards achieving revenue goals, orchestrating solution envisioning sessions, conducting business value assessments, and adeptly handling objections.

This role is a cornerstone of the Financial Services Industry (FSI) leadership team. You will collaborate closely with Modern Work specialist leaders, security leaders, and core account teams to address customer challenges. Responsibilities

  • Forge relationships with key customers and influencers, leveraging your deep industry knowledge to establish credibility and trust.
  • Empower your team to decisively influence customer decisions, securing technical victories and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of resources to effectively resolve blockers, ensuring high-quality and consistent customer interactions.
  • Skillfully orchestrate team resources and provide coaching, amplifying the impact of customer engagements and sharpening strategic focus.
  • Scale area-level capacity and capabilities by partnering effectively, actively monitoring capacity, and fostering a culture of competitive learning and development.
  • Proactively communicate challenges to your manager, collaborating to devise innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Act as a critical conduit for feedback, channeling customer insights, product updates, and training needs to your manager and the leadership team.
  • Take ownership of a national revenue target, driving pre-sales activities in collaboration with your specialist and core account team.
  • Continuously identify areas for team improvement, offer targeted coaching, and nurture a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Lead weekly team meetings and monthly business reviews, and actively participate in leadership meetings to strategically address business needs.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends and specific needs of education customers, ensuring that strategies and solutions are always relevant and impactful.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • 3+ years of People Management experience (including leading virtual teams).
Technology Specialists M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
