Job title: Account Manager

Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Exempt
General Description:
1. Purpose:
a. Maintain, strengthen, and build upon current client relationships to cultivate and nurture successful long-term client relationships.
b. Identify and develop business leads and opportunities that will result in additional revenue from existing clients.
c. Support Senior Account Manager in delivery of job responsibilities.
2. Activities and Responsibilities:
a. At Senior Account Manager's direction, leverage prior and existing client data to strategically strengthen and grow client account relationships to make sure our company is top of mind for clients when they need any service we offer.
b. Seek opportunities for new business and identify new service line offerings for current clients; keep clients actively engaged.
c. Maintain awareness of ongoing project deliverables and any issues as they arise to facilitate strong relationship between client and Singota.
d. Develop data and informational profile of clients, categorizing and prioritizing them for regular engagement.
e. Develop and maintain current and thorough understanding of company capabilities, service offerings, current projects, and strategic goals; presenting such material as appropriate.
f. Identify business leads, make contacts, establish working relationships, and identify client needs and gaps.
g. Fully utilize company processes including but not limited to CRM System, internal process forms, contracts, etc., as required in the path to securing client sales.
h. Write project plans, budgetary estimates, and proposals as required.
i. Ensure that proposals are complete, on time, accurate and fit within company guidelines and capabilities.
j. Partner with project management to ensure a smooth transition for clients and their projects. Maintain oversight of business relationships throughout each project to assist where needed and seek new opportunities.
k. Support Senior Account Manager in tracking and reporting on efficiency and results of account management methods and tools; implement continuous improvements as directed.
l. Provide thorough and regular communication with all stakeholders using emails, conversations, and attendance at company meetings and functions including Project Kick-offs, early project meetings, Demand and Capacity Planning meetings, Sales and Marketing Meetings, Client Audits, and others.
m. Provide regular communications and written reporting on performance to Supervisor.
n. Develop and execute personal goals contributing to creation and execution of departmental goals that align with Singota strategy
3. General:
a. Demonstrate highly ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in alignment with Singota Solution's culture.
b. Spend sufficient personal time on Singota Solutions premises interacting with various personnel to develop and maintain effective working relationships, gain understanding of company operational status, and exchange important information with staff.
c. Embrace and exhibit a positive and team approach to work.
d. Comply with quality and safety management systems including requirements for documentation, training, system use, SOPs, processes and procedures.
e. General support required of a company where employees can be asked to perform multiple tasks both
inside and outside their department to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
Characteristics required include:
1. Proven account management experience and record in selling and building long-term customer relationships and networks.
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills - oral and written.
3. Trustworthiness and personal integrity - able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
4. Self-starter willing to take initiative.
5. Positive attitude and good judgment; respected by peers and clients.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
7. Ability to travel to client sites, conferences, and trade shows approximately 1 week per month.
8. Ability to work fully on site in Bloomington, IN.
Work Experience, Skills & Educational Requirements:
1. Account management experience required.
2. 5 or more years pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industry experience required.
3. 2 years sales, business development, or project management experience required.
4. 2 years of laboratory development, QC testing, or other applied scientific experience preferred.
5. Proficiency in MS Office products & CRM systems required.
6. Minimum of BS in business, management or applicable scientific field required.
