As a Product Data Analyst, you will drive actionable insights for the AI Services Product Management team and influence decision-making across the organization. This is a highly visible role in which you will communicate actionable insights to decision-makers. You will ‘tell the story’ around data about features usage insights, user journey analysis, and support hypothesis testing from methodology to results evaluation. You will utilize advanced analytics techniques to derive insights about product usage patterns and create self-service dashboards while working closely with data engineers on data pipeline automation.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Use data to create insights, including detailed product user behavior analysis, outlining segments and different patterns that may lead to business opportunities. You are passionate about turning data into actionable insights that will inform product development and strategy.
  2. Write compelling narratives to share data stories with stakeholders and equip them to make informed decisions and future plans.
  3. Take a proactive approach to defining new metrics, reports, and dashboards. Develop a deep understanding of our metrics, reporting tools, and data structures to provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics.
  4. Utilize advanced analytics techniques for conducting deep dive studies around certain device use cases.
  5. Provide data for monthly business reviews, including results of experiments and A/B tests, features health indicators, activation, and engagement metrics.
  6. Develop self-service dashboards using Tableau.
  7. Browse available data sources to understand and enhance analytics signals logging.
  8. Work closely with the data engineering team to design, execute, and maintain reporting modules, defining requirements for automation of recurring reports.

The successful candidate will be on the lookout for ways to learn more about Ring devices usage behavioral patterns, optimize the ways metrics are used for decision-making, and possess superior communication skills to deliver analysis in a clear and actionable format for Product Managers while having the technical skills to derive insights.

About the team
Our Product Data Analytics team mission is to equip the AI Services Product Management team to make data-driven decisions around features with AI component development (e.g., Package detection), starting with insights for feature proposal and feature post-launch evaluation. We do this by quantifying user experience at each feature usage stage (activation, engagement, retention, reactivation), identifying usage patterns, and new opportunities to improve customer experience with Ring devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data, performing statistical analysis
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with writing advanced SQL queries
- Experience in statistical and root cause analysis techniques
- Experience in product data analytics or user experience analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with advanced analytics techniques.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and designing ETL pipelines.
- Experience in data mining in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Experience with AWS, including Redshift, S3, RDS, Athena.
- Proficient in handling big data volumes, composition of advanced SQL, and query performance tuning skills.
- Experience in collaborative workflow using version control systems.
