Travel Nurse RN - NICU in Renton, WA

**Must-Have:** EPIC experience, experience caring for gestations down to 23 weeks, proficiency with all respiratory equipment and feeding pumps
**Job Description:**
- Provide specialized care in a Level 3 NICU with a capacity of 20 beds.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1-3, adjusting for acuity and staffing levels.
- Manage common diagnoses such as extremely premature infants, BPD, HIE, feeding intolerance, respiratory support needs, and sepsis/meningitis.
- Demonstrate skills in titrating drips, including BP drugs, TPN/D10, and insulin.
- Act as a Charge Nurse/House Supervisor if required, with no nurse aides on the unit.
- Collaborate with an in-house ARNP/PA for 24/7 neonatal support; the neonatologist is not present 24/7.
- Utilize RT equipment including HFOV, HFJV, conventional vents, CPAP, HFNC, NC.
- Read strips as necessary with tele monitoring on the unit.
- Work scheduled 3-12 hour shifts per week on a 4-week schedule.
- Participate in weekend rotations as required and possible holiday work individualized to contracts.
- Be prepared for float assignments to pediatric care for NICU graduates up to 12 months old or to act as a 1:1 sitter for behavioral health patients.
- Adhere to a Royal Blue scrub color/dress code.
- Complete 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation.
- Use the Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR charting system.
- Follow the cancellation policy of one shift per two-week period.
