Position Summary
The Analyst will be part of RCP’s internal Investment team and will provide support in its investment due diligence efforts across RCP’s private equity offerings, as part of a three-year Analyst program. The Analyst will be fully involved in the investment due diligence and decision-making process. The Analyst will participate in manager meetings and craft manager assessments, along with contributing to the investment underwriting process. Output will be created in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and the Analyst will be involved in presentation / recommendation to Investment Committee.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in private equity manager meetings and create qualitative and quantitative analysis to present to Investment Committee
- Support creation of research and due diligence outputs for both internal and external use through Tableau, Salesforce, Excel and PowerPoint
- Participate in and document key takeaways from meetings with private equity managers
- Evaluate and provide feedback on opportunities presented to the Investment Committee
- Upload and audit underlying portfolio information on a quarterly basis
- Lead hiring, training and oversight of interns and analysts joining the Investment team
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (business, finance, math, statistics, computer science, or related field preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Passion for problem-solving and willingness to dissect complex problems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight
Preferred:
- 1 to 2 years of private equity experience in Limited Partner role
- Basic financial literacy (alternative assets preferred)
- Work experience pre-graduation (i.e., internships)
- Experience with basic data visualization development (Tableau preferred) and navigation of relational
- databases / CRM (Salesforce preferred)
