The Opportunity
As a member of Roche Diagnostics Strategy & Partnering, you will report to the Head of Alliance Management and be critical to the effective management and delivery of a number of Roche Diagnostics strategic alliances and partnerships. This position offers unique opportunities to work across the Roche business and with multiple types of partnerships depending on your experience, interests and business needs. Strategic Alliances include bilateral and multiparty partnerships that aim to deliver increased value for Roche, our partners and the customers and patients we serve.
In this role, you will contribute to the Roche Diagnostics Vision of innovating diagnostics, shaping healthcare & changing lives by playing a key role in ensuring the business nurtures its networks and realizes value from external innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent internally & externally a growing team of partnering professionals dedicated to creating long-term value & growth from new and ongoing partnering & integration activities.
- Lead multiple alliances, including but not limited to the shaping & management of governance committees, maintaining of systems and governance practices, contract management, and conducting & actioning on partnering health checks.
- Effectively deliver on alliance goals utilizing your strong collaboration, coordination, opportunity/risk management, and communication skills.
- Work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders (e.g, legal, finance, contracting, quality, regulatory, procurement, business teams, country affiliates) in support of alliance & internal business objectives.
- Support the development of other team members and contribute to the creation, implementation, and sharing of team value, capabilities, practices & systems.
Who You Are
- You have at least five years of experience directly managing strategic alliances (eg, co-development, co-commercialization, public-private partnership, etc.) in diagnostics, health technology, or pharma/biotech.
- You hold an advanced degree in science, engineering, business, legal, or a related field.
- Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation, and conflict management skills to achieve alignment and break down silos.
- You bring a growth and collaborative mindset with an ability to think creatively and balance near and long-term strategy.
- Strong strategic thinker, communicator e.g., through strategic program & change management experience, successfully leading strategic initiatives.
- Good understanding of financial, contractual, and commercial disciplines.
- Proven ability to lead, operate & communicate effectively at senior management levels, including influencing at executive level and summarizing new concepts quickly into succinct, value-generating options.
- Have the ability to navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication, and consensus-building.
Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Arizona, is $147,400-$273,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
