Description:
We are seeking a versatile Network/Telecom Engineer to join our team. This role will support both network and telecom operations, providing backup for our current SMEs in each area. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network theory and hands-on experience, particularly with Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco technologies, as well as VoIP networks. This is a great opportunity to join a small team making a difference in a healthcare environment.

Worksite:
Location: Hybrid (3-4 days in office initially), Beacon Hill area of Seattle.
Work Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, with some on-call and after-hours work as needed for full-time employees. No on-call for initial contract duration.
Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of network theory and functionality.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco technologies.
- Experience with VoIP networks, particularly in transitioning from Shortel/Mitel to Cirium.
- Ability to cross-train and support both network and telecom operations.
- Basic understanding of current technology stacks deployed.
Network Side:
- Work with Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco technologies, with a preference for candidates with 1-2 years of Fortinet experience.
- Assist in the completion and operational support of network implementations.
- Ensure network stability and performance.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for network issues.
- Maintain and update network documentation.
Telecom Side:
- Support the transition from Shortel/Mitel to Cerium VoIP networks.
- Provide operational support for VoIP systems.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of telecom infrastructure.
General:
- Cross-train in both network and telecom areas to provide comprehensive support.
- Assist with workload management and support upcoming projects.
- Maintain a basic understanding of both current technology stacks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to hybrid work schedule, initially 3-4 days in the office until acclimated.

CCNA certification is required (experience required is more advanced than Network+).
