Workday Data Conversion Consultant – PeopleSoft to Workday Migration

Project Overview:

• A Healthcare organization in the midst of their Workday implementation is transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday Financials, HCM, and SCM.
• They are seeking a highly skilled Workday Data Conversion Consultant to support their data warehouse team in migrating data from PeopleSoft to Workday.
• The client uses Informatica Cloud as their ETL tool, Snowflake as their Data Warehouse, and Tableau for reporting.
• This role requires an individual who is comfortable working with Snowflake, Workday APIs, and data mapping across PeopleSoft and Workday systems.
• The consultant will help design, build, and troubleshoot throughout the R&D process of the migration.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Migration and Conversion:

• Lead the migration of data from PeopleSoft to Workday, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
• Utilize Informatica Cloud for ETL processes to extract and load data between systems.
• Map Workday and PeopleSoft data, identifying key data relationships and structures.

Integration and API Management:

• Pull and manage data using the Workday API to facilitate smooth data transitions.
• Work with the data warehouse team to ensure compatibility with Snowflake and integration into existing data flows.

Data Validation and Troubleshooting:

• Perform rigorous testing of migrated data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
• Troubleshoot data migration issues and propose solutions during the R&D phase.

Collaboration and Reporting:

• Collaborate with the data warehouse and reporting teams to ensure seamless integration of data into Snowflake and proper visualization in Tableau.
• Break down complex problems into manageable solutions, providing regular status updates and reporting on progress.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data migration and conversion, with specific experience in PeopleSoft to Workday transitions.
• Proficiency in Workday API, ETL tools (preferably Informatica Cloud), and working with data warehouses (Snowflake experience required).
• Strong understanding of data structures and processes in PeopleSoft Financials, HCM, and SCM modules.
• Experience with reporting tools like Tableau is a plus.
