The Training & Learning Team helps our customers and the people who care about them unlock the incredible potential of our technology by creating educational events, courses, and content.What you'll do:The Learning Consultant will create and facilitate insightful and engaging experiences that support people and programs for internal and external customers in the Tobii Dynavox North American market.Your days will be filled with:Depending on organizational needs, the focus on specific key responsibilities and competencies may vary for individual Learning Consultants and evolve over time. In general, Learning Consultants are required to possess 4 main competencies: Learning Facilitation Demonstrate strong presentation and facilitation skills to drive meaningful and engaging learning experiences for internal and external customers onsite, live virtually, and through asynchronous learningLearning Design and Content Creation Design and develop engaging trainings and programs for internal and external customers Write articles for the company, social media, and trade magazinesSubject Matter and Learning Domain Expertise Support Tobii Dynavox customers and business with clinical, educational, research, business, and learning expertise. This support may include: Current knowledge of research and best practices in Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Assistive Technology, and related fields Knowledge of adult learning theory and learning design Knowledge of the funded medical device process An awareness of the entire Tobii Dynavox product portfolio and ecosystem of resources Knowledge of people and leadership skills, organizational culture, and change managementProject Management Awareness of traditional and agile project management tools and processes; ability to complete assigned tasks within two-week sprints Ability to listen to customer needs and propose and create solutions that solve the need, generate value for the business, and leverage the learning team's processes Work and lead collaboratively on initiatives that span various business functions Demonstrate attention to detail in organization, reporting, and compliance tasks Communicate effectivelyIn addition, Learning Consultants should: Exemplify the desired culture, values, and philosophies of the organization Complete other duties as assignedWe are looking for someone who has: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication Studies, Speech-Language Pathology, Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources Experience leading change, designing and leading management/leadership programs Background in learning role such as a trainer, instructional designer, or content writer is a plus Experience working with the disability community Experience with Tobii Dynavox and/or Boardmaker products preferred Demonstrates success in providing quality learning experiences and keeping a customer focus in a fast-paced environment Some learning programs require the ability to travel up to approximately 10% throughout North America and work flexible hours when needed to support business needs Ability to learn and use products in the company's por folio quickly to support ongoing and evolving training needs; savvy with technologySkills needed to be successful in this position: Strong written and oral communication skills (English) Ability to communicate effectively and influence others all levels within an organization and externally Work collaboratively as part of a team Work and communicate effectively with a remote team Remain calm, professional, and focused in a stressful environment Demonstrate excellent listening skills Communicate complex topics in a simple and straightforward manner MS Office and 365 - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Outlook; ability to effectively use Windows OS Familiar with popular social media sites and applications such as Facebook and Instagram TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit Content authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or Captivate Cloud storage solutions Adobe Acrobat Zoom Favro / internal project management tools Takes ownership and accountability of all assignments and work Self-starter; takes initiative and doesn't consistently wait for direction Excellent time management skills Identify and prioritize goals and tasks to be accomplished Facilitate group discussion (in-person and remote) Quickly comprehend and demonstrate mastery of new material and subject matter Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented Compliance with all industry, business, and team policies, processes, and guidelinesWhere you'll work: Manages interruptions and prioritizes effectively Keep up in a fast-paced work setting and meet deadlines Work remotely while remaining collaborative with peers Able to work flexible hours and weekends when needed to support business Willing and able to travel extensively across US and/or Canada up to approximately 10% for some programs; should live in continental US Some international travel may be required; valid passport requiredWhere we stand: We believe diversity not only enriches our workplace culture, but also gives us a strategic advantage.
