Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,250.00 per year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Complete SUD assessments per agency procedure for referred clients.
  • Provide individual, family and group SUD counseling to youth and their families.
  • Meet productivity expectations of Family Service & Guidance Center.
  • Develop and manage appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
  • Facilitating individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings for the purpose of case assignments, case review, individual case planning and collaboration with team members.
  • Complete clinical documentation (SUD assessments, progress notes, 90-day progress reviews, Client Status Reviews (CSR) and referrals for other services, etc.) within required timeframes. Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professional, such as doctors, nurses, social workers, and probation officers in accordance with CFR 24 Part 2.
  • Stay informed of agency developments, announcements and updates by reading agency e mails and memorandums or other agency related written communication.
  • Respect and demonstrate ability to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with CFR 42 part 2.
  • Attend required training sessions and maintain CEU's as part of ongoing professional development and as required.
  • Supports and actively promote the vision and mission of Family Service & Guidance Center.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Substance Use Program Team Manager.
Qualifications
Education/Licensure:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in human services or related field.
  • Licensed in the state of Kansas as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) or LMAC in good standing.
  • Must successfully pass the KBI, DCF, KDADS or background checks as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
Experience:
  • Experience and passion working with youth and families.
  • Knowledge and training of substance use disorders and mental health disorders preferred.

Other Physical Requirements:
Clinicians must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work with children and adolescents in the office setting. Position may require the ability to use physical holding (MAB) with children and adolescents exhibiting out of control behaviors.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office and Community-Based working environment; requires flexible schedule; frequent interruptions occur; expected to deal with individuals in crisis, potential risk of exposure to aggressive and/or acting out (verbal and physical) children and youth. May include some travel within Shawnee County.
