Tax Partner
We are seeking a dynamic Tax Partner to join our esteemed firm located in the Los Angeles area. This pivotal role is ideal for either a seasoned Tax Partner or an ambitious Senior Manager or Director eager to step into a Partnership role. You will inherit a substantial book of business in a firm renowned for its deep expertise in real estate limited partnerships, C and S corps, fiduciary, and high net worth individual tax. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exhibit extreme technical competency in taxation, with a profound understanding of individual, real estate partnerships, corporate, and fiduciary tax.
- Review and occasionally prepare complex tax returns while ensuring compliance with California and multi-state tax regulations.
- Utilize Lacerte tax software and BNA Tax Projection software proficiently.
- Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and expedient processing of tax-related tasks.
- Engage effectively with both existing and potential new clients to foster relationships and grow the business.
- Provide training and mentoring to staff to enhance their professional growth and ensure firm standards are met.
- Evaluate client needs proactively and exceed service expectations without being constrained by standard working hours.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must possess a current CPA license.
- Over 10 years of experience in tax, specifically with real estate limited partnerships, C and S corps, and high net worth individual tax.
- Demonstrated capability in staff management, training, and development.
- Strong familiarity with tax preparation and planning software, particularly Lacerte and BNA.
- Excellent multitasking abilities and proficient writing skills.
- Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Taxation or a Law Degree (JD) highly preferred.
- Experience coming from high-quality local CPA firms, Big-4, national CPA firms, or similar high-level tax positions in corporate settings.
- Ability to cultivate new business and engage in practice development actively.
- Resourcefulness, personability, and a proactive approach in addressing client needs.
