Summary
The Director manages and oversees master’s degree and certificate programs for the School of Science and Engineering. This position oversees graduate admission and offers, serving as a primary point person with OISS, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, Registrar, and Student Affairs. This position works directly with students and faculty on master’s degree and certificate program issues and degree requirements. The Director serves on School and University committees concerned with relevant graduate issues. This position certifies that all curriculum and degree requirements have been met, including prospectus approval, qualifying exams, MS thesis and any additional requirements for graduation. This position records academic information in students’ official records.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent data research and data management skills.
- Experience with computer applications (spreadsheets, communications, databases, and word processing).
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with individuals at all levels.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3 years of experience in an academic or similar office/administrative setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student advising, financial aid, and/or student record systems.
- Experience with Banner, Hobsons, and/or Slate educational software a plus.
Compensation Information
