Countryside Veterinary Hospital, a fast-paced 3 doctor AAHA accredited hospital, is seeking an experienced full time Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our small animal practice located in Shelton, CT. We are part of the beautiful hills of Fairfield County. The ideal candidate will be friendly, energetic, compassionate, dependable, and able to maintain a positive attitude with clients and staff members. CSR responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting clients with enthusiasm and warmth, answering phones, accurately obtaining client/patient information and recording information within charts, chart preparation/filing charts, scheduling/confirming appointments (ALLYDVM experience a plus), working within online veterinary software (Cornerstone experience a plus), assisting with invoicing and verifying invoices, checking emails and voicemails, taking client messages and medication/appointment requests, some heavy lifting, processing payments, scanning in and sending patient records via email/fax, participating in client education, and opening/closing the hospital. The candidate must demonstrate excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to positively influence others. The candidate must also have the ability to multitask and prioritize quickly and efficiently. Candidates must be able to work well as a team and also able to work without assistance. Applicant must be able to remain calm with difficult clients or situations and must be able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure. The minimum requirements for this position are:

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist/Technician. At least 1 year of veterinary experience is required to be considered for this position. Serious applicants only.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task and proficiently function in a high-stress environment is a must.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills.
  • Applicants must have a basic knowledge of veterinary care including but not limited to vaccinations, medications, preventions, routine medical care, etc.
Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule and have the availability to work evenings and Saturdays (currently closed on weekends but will be re-opening on Saturdays in the future). Closing hours for our hospital vary on a daily basis and all employees are required to stay until we have closed for the evening.
