Position Summary
The High School Site Coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of group facilitators and sub-contractors. This position assists the Manager of High School Initiatives in the development and oversight of the After School and Summer Student Programs at the high school site(s) and relationship development and management with school staff and administration. Where applicable, the High School Site Coordinator collaborates with the C2L-PHL Coordinator to support their respective students' enrollment and data and attendance tracking in the C2L-PHL Program. This position supports the CYS department in other areas such as the preparation and analysis of various forms and reports, internal audits, administrative support, etc. The High School Site Coordinator links program participants with community resources and is responsible for client recruitment.
This position reports to the Manager of High School Initiatives. This is an ONSITE position.

Essential Functions

  • Represents Congreso's mission, values, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and will be an ambassador of our work.
  • Ensures overall program progress in the achievement of service objectives, and directs appropriate actions, or implements changes in the afterschool program to ensure compliance of contractual obligations and accomplishment of program goals.
  • Coordinates weekly supportive staff meetings and daily debriefings to discuss concerns, program development, staff relations, and personnel challenges.
  • Serves as a liaison between school staff and Congreso staff regarding use and maintenance of building, custodian and teacher relations, and administrative support.
  • Maintains weekly check-ins with school staff and attends and participates in school meetings, as needed, to receive referrals and promote afterschool program.
  • Is responsible for recruiting students into the afterschool and summer programs, and delivers blended, engaging virtual and in-person programing to students.
  • Supports the High School Case Manager operating at the afterschool site.
  • Maintains and inventories equipment and supplies.
  • Participates in the formulation of program goals and objectives and administers the program to meet such goals.
  • Collaborates with the C2L-PHL Coordinator to enroll students in the C2L-PHL Program and track attendance and data to ensure timely incentive-based payments by the funder, where applicable.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records and completes data entry forms according to the applicable program contracts.
  • Forms and maintains positive and supportive relationships with participants' parents through monthly parent contact.
  • Assists in the preparation of program concepts, curriculum and proposals for continuation of grants, and new funding opportunities.
  • Makes relevant client referrals to internal Congreso programs and/or external resources.

  • Attends, participates, and facilitates relevant staff meetings to promote communication and execution of goals.
  • Ability to effectively use standard office equipment, including a variety of common software programs such as Office365, UNIDAD, and other customized databases.
  • Follows through on assignments, works in a timely manner, within established deadlines, and completes special projects specific to the function of the department, as needed or as directed by supervisor.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups, in a compassionate, courteous, and respectful manner that fosters an inclusive environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective and respectful communication with individuals and groups.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) written and verbal skills a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises Part-Time Group Facilitators.
Minimum Experience, Education, and Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or the Human Services field required, bachelor's degree a plus.
Minimum Experience:
3 years' experience required with associate degree, 1 year minimum with bachelor's degree.
1-2 years' supervisory experience is preferred.
Certification/License:
Mandated Reporter and VRA training certificates are required and may be completed post hire.
