Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a Risk Management Project Lead with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Bank Risk Management Project Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the implementation of risk management projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals. The role requires extensive experience in enterprise, operational, and credit risk management, with a strong ability to review, challenge, and refine implementation plans.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and coordinate the implementation of risk management projects across the organization.
  2. Review and critically assess implementation plans to ensure they meet regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide expert guidance on risk management best practices.
  4. Clean up and refine implementation plans, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with risk management frameworks.
  5. Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
  6. Monitor project progress, identify issues or deviations, and proactively implement corrective actions.
  7. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management, outlining project status, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  8. Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
  2. Proven expertise in enterprise, operational, and credit risk management.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate complex implementation plans.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  5. Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or equivalent are a plus.
  6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to banking operations.
