Integrated Dermatology of NJ is one of the largest Dermatology groups. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, kind, and hard-working Medical Assistant to join our growing practice! We specialize in general, surgical, cosmetic dermatology, and in Moh's surgery procedures. We operate in a very fast paced environment, and it is going to take someone with multitasking skills and great organization.
Job Description

• Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care.
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Scribing notes for Practitioners
• Assessing and responding to prescription refill requests.
• Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork.

Qualifications

• High level of professionalism.
• Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems.

Experience:

• Excellent computer and phone skills.
• Minor surgical procedure experience and Moh's.

Job Type:

• Full-Time 4-5 days.
• Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
• Experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital.
• Dermatology experience is a plus.
• Experience in MOHS assistance is a plus.
• Experience with and knowledge of EMR.
• Experience in assisting with minor surgical procedures.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant Certification (Required) or LPN license (Required)
