Supervisor, Central Sterile
Full time, 36 hours per week

Job Overview:
The Supervisor, Central Sterile is responsible for sterilization operations throughout the organization.
Duties:
- Assumes responsibility for the daily operational needs of central sterilization including supervising staff, processing timesheets, performance management, and assisting HR office with recruitment of staff.
- Assists the VP of Oral Health in managing an effective, comprehensive performance improvement process, that is outcome driven and establishes a culture of excellence in quality and service.
- Keeps the VP of Oral Health apprised of any issues or concerns with equipment, supplies or procedures related to sterilization
- Provides ongoing support between sterilization operations and department managers to ensure effective
- instrument processing.
- Supports supervisor of courier operations to ensure proper distribution of sterilization needs to the organizations satellite clinics.
- Provides oversight for sterilization equipment and material upkeep which includes but not limited to e-req
- processing, vendor communication and supply requests.
- Ensures that instruments are sterilized as soon as feasible as they are brought into central sterilization.
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of all areas of sterilization.
- Ensures accurate logs of spore testing are maintained.
- Uses the system in place to monitor and track the instruments through sterilization.
- Is responsive to special requests or needs of the providers with regard to instruments and handpieces.
- Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic's overall mission.
- Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
- Familiar with and follows OSHA standards.
- Manages overtime and expenses by appropriately using resources available.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a health care setting.
- Required minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
