Job Summary — The Welders are responsible for the fabrication of hollow metal frames and doors for top quality delivery.
The Welder is responsible and accountable for:
- Perform complex and simple modifications to metal frames and doors in the field and in house.
- Aid in the design of jigs and fixtures to enhance shop performance.
- Identify and pull material needed per stock requisitions, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Cut and splice metal pieces as needed per written or verbal instructions.
- Weld 12-18-gauge metal with stick or mig welders.
- Ensure all material is squared up.
- Punch or cut hardware preps using jigs or templates per written or verbal instructions
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manor, including use of all safety equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance, for safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Inspect completed material of secure welds, proper handing, correct preps, and size based on written or verbal instructions.
- Assist with grinder duties if necessary.
- Portray a professional and positive attitude with any and all customers and coworkers. This includes tone, body language, and any other nonverbal cues.
- Ensure the work area is clean and safe.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or GED
- Accurately use a tape measure
- Able to read work orders, emails, and shipping forms
- 2 or more years’ experience welding with gas-shielded arc (MIG/GMAW) required
