Purpose:
The Payroll and Accounting Specialist is responsible for the completion of tasks and projects assigned by the Director
of Finance associated with accounts payable and receivable, company-wide payroll, and other journal entries and
reconciliations related to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. This role will perform the payment of invoices from
vendors and benefit TPAs, maintain payment records, and process company payroll to ensure compensation, taxes,
and deductions are accurate and timely.
Job Responsibilities:
• Receive, audit, and process payments, and receivables from company vendors, TPAs, and custodians
• Maintain and organize receipt of payments, invoices, and receipts with company online file storage systems
• Communicate with external partners, custodians, TPAs, and vendors to resolve any payment or invoice
discrepancies and questions
• Process payroll for company employees, ensuring that all compensation pay codes, taxes, and benefit
deductions are correct and set up in a timely manner
• Audit payroll and GL reports to ensure accuracy, adjusting where necessary, and maintaining documentation
on changes, corrections, and updates
• Processing expense reimbursements and reconciliation of expenses
• Assist with other month end close activities as assigned
• Remain knowledgeable in the policies and regulations of the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all
work activities
• Work with all other team members in a way that is conducive with the mission, values, and beliefs of the
company to provide customer service beyond expectations
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information
• Comply with company-wide policies and SEC/FINRA regulations
