Overview
The Financial Planning Analyst is a key contributor who will support financial analysis goals by helping to implement effective financial procedures and processes. This role involves assisting in the preparation of budgets, business plans, and financial evaluations through report generation, data management, and systems support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Planning Analyst is a key contributor who will support financial analysis goals by helping to implement effective financial procedures and processes. This role involves assisting in the preparation of budgets, business plans, and financial evaluations through report generation, data management, and systems support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee annual budget processes and related forecasting activities.
- Assist with analytical tasks within business units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and regulatory standards.
- Support the monthly inventory process by managing and maintaining inventory accounts for accuracy.
- Help resolve operational and tactical issues as they arise.
- Record intercompany transactions, assist with credit card reconciliations, and complete other month-end responsibilities.
- Monitor overhead expenses and identify potential resource mismanagement.
- Collaborate with global finance departments.
- Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement processes to prevent future discrepancies.
- Address inquiries regarding department programs.
- Partner with various departments to aid in the development and allocation of their budgets.
- Navigate and evaluate multiple systems containing financial data.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- 1-5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical, process, and business principles, along with industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
