Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function within the Intellipower business unit. The Human Resources Manager will play an instrumental role in supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee development, compensation, and retention, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role involves managing HR policies and procedures, addressing employee concerns, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.


This position reports to the Senior Director, Business Segment Leader and has one direct report.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with company objectives.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop innovative solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Attract, motivate, and retain qualified employees who perform well and excel at meeting business objectives.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Oversee employee performance management and development programs, including performance evaluations and career planning.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all levels of employee groups.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, minimizing risks associated with day-to-day employee management.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Identify training and development needs to support employee growth and business goals.
  • Drive workforce planning with managers to stay abreast of the needs of the business.
  • Manage vendor relationships in order to build and implement successful solutions.
  • Serve as back-up for payroll processing.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of HR experience, including progressive generalist career track, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of California HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including compensation practices, benefits, worker’s compensation, HRIS, ATS, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of HRIS computer software programs (SuccessFactors a plus) and systems (ADP Systems) as well as Microsoft Office & Excel.


Desired Qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM CP certification.
  • Adaptability, customer and stakeholder focus orientation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to providing customer service in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and support full employment cycle including recruiting, on-boarding, performance management, and departure.
  • Experience developing and presenting human resources data for management decision-making.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in both the business sector(s) and human resources.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment.
  • Excellent written/verbal skills.
  • Proven organizational consulting skills.

Salary Range:

The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $120,000 - $150,000. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
