Position Overview
Autodesk's Entertainment & Media Solutions team is looking for a Senior Product Manager who'll focus on the areas of Simulation and Proceduralism . Reporting to our Director of Product Management for Content Creation Software, you'll be a collaborator who bridges customer needs and engineering requirements with an eye toward a creative future. You will contribute significantly to building the next generation of solutions and services for our Content Creation Software products and to Autodesk's Flow platform for Film, TV, and Games . You will meet with customers and our partners to inform and validate our product roadmap. You will also lead and partner with our teams to accomplish our product strategy, ensuring we're prioritizing the workflows that provide the most impact to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Guide roadmaps for our Content Creation and Platform initiatives based on an acute awareness of how simulation and proceduralism are used today in production and its evolution.
  • Use your Film/ TV / Games domain experience to define, champion, and implement a holistic product vision for our Media & Entertainment offerings.
  • Be the customer-facing leader to learn and document what our customers need and how we can make them successful.
  • Manage product roadmap, define and communicate priority workflows and enhancements, assess risks and dependencies.
  • Translate problem statements and customer needs into story maps to inform development priorities and plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX designers, developers, and other important partners to implement our product vision.
  • Break down complex problems into user-focused solutions.
  • Provide insights from customer discovery and validation that support iterative development.
  • Remain acutely aware of the evolution of different open-source projects and standards used in the entertainment and media industry.
  • Stay informed of industry-related trends and technology evolution.
  • Engage customers and the industry through activities such as customer councils, executive briefings, industry events, and media support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional work experience in Film / TV / Games production studios (R&D or production), working across producers, technical directors, production managers, and artists, completing large-scale projects.
  • Experience defining and tracking software product metrics.
  • Adaptable and inclusive approach when working with other teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple large-scale projects, assessing risks and dependencies.
  • Pragmatic with analytical abilities, adopting a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Data summarizing skills, comfortable making sense of different data sources to inform where to make trade-offs.
  • Experience presenting new ideas and concepts to different audiences, such as executives, technologists, and customers.
  • Comfortable working within a large global organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Autodesk's Content Creation software (Maya, 3ds max) as used in VFX, Animation, Game pipelines, or similar software.
  • Intimate understanding and point of view on the challenges that our customers face with simulation and proceduralism.
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development environment.
  • Familiarity with statistical analytics platforms and concepts.
  • Demonstrated track record with making data-driven decisions.
