RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the activity department and the activity staff
- Interview, train, and hire activity staff
- Manage the activity department budget while ensuring residents get enriching activities and events planned
- Plan and implement programs for individual and group activities based on resident’s needs and abilities
- Plan and conduct activity programs to assist residents in returning to the community
- Schedule and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their room
- Plan and schedule both indoor and outdoor activities for residents
- Document all resident and family interactions and complete progress notes
- Provide a pleasant and entertaining environment for residents during their stay
