We are currently seeking a Director of Workforce Compensation who will lead the enterprise-wide broad-based compensation function. The Compensation function contributes to the success of APi Group by developing and implementing strategies and programs that drive the performance of the business. This role is a key member of the People team and will partner with HR, finance, legal and leaders on a wide range of compensation topics and projects. This role leads broad-based compensation for APi Group, including programs, policies and strategies and will report to the VP, Total Rewards and People Operations and partner with the People team to engage our high performing leaders to deliver winning performance.

Broad Based Compensation programs, processes and analysis leadership

  • Own the strategy, program and policy changes for global broad-based compensation (job architecture and levels, salary structures and short-term incentive design)
  • Ownership of key annual processes, to include annual incentive payout and merit processes
  • Lead team that executes market competitiveness reviews, FLSA and other regulatory analysis and compensation reporting and dashboard analysis
  • Partner with finance on costing reviews and other financial impacts connected with incentive plans
  • Partner with global compensation teams to ensure alignment where appropriate

Global Compensation Incentive Design

  • Lead the design of all business/OpCo level annual incentive plans
  • Partners with business leaders to ensure designs are driving the intended business outcomes

Business and Team Leadership

  • Works directly with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the business objectives across a diverse landscape
  • Travel as required to support OpCo incentive and structure development
  • Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a lean team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in compensation, HR or finance with at least 4 years leading compensation related projects and programs; global compensation experience preferred
  • Strong external network and professional group affiliation (i.e., Conference Board or the like)
  • Strong analytical mindset and financial acumen
  • Strong influence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across boundaries and develop effective working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds

Benefits and Compensation:

This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $125,000 - $175,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
