Job Description:

Technology Group Solutions is seeking an intrinsically motivated Sales Leader to build, manage, and grow the account base in the commercial and mid-market market in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. The candidate will assume responsibility for managing and growing a select sales territory within TGS’s commercial and mid-market and will report to the VP of Sales.

The TGS Client Director team is made up of passionate and high-reaching sales consultants who are committed to integrating within our customers’ business to offer premier solutions within a given account set. The Client Director will be responsible for solution selling by orchestrating and demonstrating TGS and Partner Solutions and Professional Services, Partner Channel, Inside Sales and other TGS resources to drive net new revenue for the company. TGS has and continues to build a top performing sales team with desire, determination and proven ability to deliver.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for positioning, selling, and supporting highly technical solutions designed with multi-vendor hardware/software/services into a target territory.
  2. Create and drive account sales strategy and establish communication cadence with the extended account resources to ensure full engagement and accountability.
  3. Develop and lead a partner strategy by engaging with TGS preferred partners, developing a collaborative account plan that enables channel partners to be an extension of TGS’s sales force.
  4. Learn and understand the assigned customer's business model and match TGS offerings to the customer’s needs and technology requirements.
  5. Strengthen existing relationships within the assigned accounts and elevate TGS to a more strategic position.
  6. Create proposals and communicate the business value and/or return on investment of proposed offering(s) to the customer.
  7. Utilize TGS values (Execution, Passion, Integrity, Customers, Community) to conduct day to day business.
  8. Conduct regular business reviews and executive briefings with clients and prospective clients.
  9. Conduct INTERNAL reviews on regular basis with peer teams, Solution Architects, Sales peers, Inside Sales team, Delivery team, and Managed Services group.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecast and pipeline for ALL opportunities small and large within TGS’s CRM, ConnectWise.

Required Skills:

  1. Must align with TGS culture and core values.
  2. Leadership and ability to collaborate with many people and organizations in a highly matrixed sales motion.
  3. Social Media expertise and exposure, starting with LinkedIn.
  4. Experience working within the channel with OEM sales teams, distribution partners, and other field-level partners.
  5. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  6. Highly effective written and verbal communications, including public speaking and effective presentation skills.
  7. Proven record of success achieving year/year multimillion-dollar sales goal in a highly matrixed sales cycle using relationship selling.
  8. Ability to actively participate and work within a highly collaborative team environment, while executing on individual sales goals and objectives.
  9. Highly proficient in time management, prioritization, and follow-up.
  10. Knowledgeable of customer’s business operations, buying processes and procedures, and ability to influence decision makers across all levels of the customer business, not just IT.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology/IT sales.
  2. Fundamental understanding of the entire “technology stack” for storage, compute, networking, cybersecurity, collaboration, cloud, and end-user computing.
  3. Familiar with ConnectWise CRM for pipeline management and forecasting.

Required Education:

  1. Technical or Business Degree, or equivalent 5 to 7 years’ experience.
