Automation Tester

Automation Tester position responsible for manual testing all the aspects of a software solution.

Job Functions & Duties:

• Perform automation testing of web-based and mobile applications.
• Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA).
• Other duties as assigned.

Test Planning

• Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.

Software Testing

• Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of the requirements and deployment environment.
• Regression test to ensure release quality.
• Provide functional testing to ensure features are complete and function as expected.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts from requirements and use cases.
• Ability to create logs to document testing performed during release sprints and observed defects. Report bugs and errors to Product Team via Jira.
• Some prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support).
• Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure the ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
• Supporting production support incidents in a QA capacity.
• Developing smoke and regression test suites.
• Creating and executing functional black box tests.
• Experience in Automation Testing.
• Ability to show exceptional attention to detail and be able to interact well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Education:
A Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
