The Senior Director of Sourcing is responsible for the strategic sourcing, review, negotiation, reporting, and administration of goods and services to address Bright Horizons purchasing needs. This role will lead a team of contract managers to oversee administration of agreements, manage contract lifecycle, track supplier metrics and generate quarterly reporting.

This is a hybrid role in our Newton, MA office.

What you will be doing:

Lead the identification, review, development, and negotiation of agreements for goods and services

Work in close partnership with the Legal/Privacy Team, IT Security, and Senior Management Team.

Work with Legal/Privacy Team on effective incorporation of new terms and conditions in Bright Horizons contract templates to support evolving compliance requirements.

Utilize the contract lifecycle management tool to promote track new terms and conditions and promote compliance.

Manages the efforts of cross-functional teams to understand company-wide requirements, and develops, selects, awards, negotiates, and implements selection(s), including writing and evaluating Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Assist and advise departments in obtaining the best total value considering quality, service and cost on a timely basis.

Develop effective working relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best possible value, ensure the quality of goods and/or services purchased, and fully meet the needs of stakeholders.

Survey and benchmark market conditions and trends, keeping abreast of new industry developments and products, and effectively communicating this information both within the Purchasing team and to the broader employee community.

Oversee the management of both Conga and Workday’s Contracts Module including but not limited to, coordinating updates, implementation of contract templates/libraries, and applicable change management to roll out new contracts, features, or process improvements.

Perform data gathering, analyses, and reporting to support company Purchasing goals and objectives.

Develop and deliver reports and presentation materials.

Track and report metrics for supplier diversity, and provide information to clients as requested regarding our diverse supplier program

Track and report on key vendor risk on a quarterly basis

What we hope you will bring to this role:

A Bachelor's Degree is required, a Law Degree is preferred

10 years' experience in a purchasing/contract management area, including a significant amount of that experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, logistics, and any related activities

5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Contract Management

Responsible for the collection of documentation that provides compliance and completeness of Purchase Order requirements and prepares for review by approvers.

Track the status of all related transactions and agreements in the process.

Interact with the Legal/Privacy Department; Ensure compliance of all related transactions with Bright Horizons Purchasing policies

Strong analytical, writing & communication skills

Strong work ethic, and the highest levels of professionalism and integrity

Assist in the ongoing development and refinement of related materials supporting the sourcing and purchasing process (i.e. user guides, on-site training, forms, etc.):

Conduct education, communication, and training activities to promote increased competency within the company.

Represent the Procurement Team at client and supplier meetings.

Assist in the ongoing development and refinement of the Purchasing website.

Participate in the ongoing development of training and web-based documentation relative to purchasing and sourcing activities.

Assist in developing performance metrics related to the purchasing process

Compensation Range:

The annual salary range for this role is: $125,000 - $140,000 with a 5% bonus plan
