The Moody’s Ratings Modeling & Quant Analytics Group is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality, and high-performance Models and Analytics solutions using .Net, C#, and SQL. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions, complex software, and modern technologies that will help drive our company forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software models using .Net, C#, and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Methodology, Quant, and Technology teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work independently and manage your tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, from concept to release.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in .Net, C#, and SQL.
- Relevant experience with capabilities in foundational software development tools and processes (i.e., source controls like SVN and GitHub, issue tracking, unit testing, continuous integration).
- Knowledge of MATLAB and Monte Carlo simulations is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is ($94,800 - $137,400), depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
