Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
As a Software Architect for the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the evolution of our next generation products, services, and processes and work with a wide range of technologies to drive innovation. You will get to work on a team that keeps growing, innovating, and giving you room to be proactive, creative, and develop unique perspectives on how various services interact with each other.
Reporting to the Software Manager , you will play a key role in our platform evolution by designing, creating, and maintaining the overall structure of our software systems.
What you will do…
- Work with the Solution Architect on architectural evolution of our multi-tenant SaaS platform and on-premise software and hardware solutions, including mobile apps, web frontends and internet connected embedded kiosk applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable and secure.
- Work with the Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the system can handle high availability, disaster recovery and observability.
- Assist with code reviews and knowledge sharing of best practices and coding standards and security best practices.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation.
- Identify technical debt and its resolution and work with the Product Owner to ensure this is appropriately prioritised.
- Perform hands-on coding to assist in solution delivery.
- Assist with solutions to critical issues that arise during development.
- Assist with onboarding developers with technical knowledge and with the training/guidance required for Junior developers.
- Liaise with other software architects within the wider business.
What we expect of you…
- Experience with Cloud Solutions, Azure or AWS (Functions, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Grid etc.).
- Experience with multi-tenant API's and Linux Containers (.NET 8 Web API).
- Experience with Mobile App architecture and technologies (iOS, Android, Flutter, BLE, NFC etc.).
- Experience with Internet connected Embedded Devices (Linux) at large scale.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and design effective solutions through innovative thinking.
- Strong understanding of system performance and optimization.
- Clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and challenges.
- Ability to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
