This role ensures transactions are processed accurately and on time, reviewing and resolving discrepancies expeditiously. They serve as an expert resource for the campus community, providing training related training related to payroll, tax and withholding-related processes and requirements.Duties may include:Enter, verify and reconcile information for the biweekly payrollVerify and transmit direct deposit transfersDevelop and submit payroll, retirement and tax reportsReview and audit payroll transactionsCalculate and process tax withholdingsReconcile wages and deductionsMaintain employee payroll recordsParticipate in reviewing and adjusting processing proceduresOther duties as assignedrr Minimum Qualifications:rHigh School Diploma or equivalent{=html} - Two years related to payroll and payroll taxes, including preparing payroll (processing time sheets and preparing payroll calculations); a Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance or accounting may substitute for experience - Using computer software and applications for research and compiling financial information to prepare summaries and reports - Analyzing and interpreting financial information and reports using accounting theory, principles and pratices - Composing a variety of business documents with attention to grammar, punctuation and detail as demonstrated in application materials - Working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish shared goalsrr Preferred Qualifications:rWorking in a public and/or university financial and payroll environmentDemonstrated ability to resolve sensitive and sometimes confrontational situationsKnowledge of Banner information systemrr Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:rNoneNonerr Required Licensures, Certifications or otherrrr Posting Number: SP004607Prr Posting Date: 10/07/2024rr Closing Date:rr Open Until Filled: Yesrr Special Instructions:rFirst consideration date 10/21/2024.Applicants:Please use your letter of qualification to explain in detail how your work experience, skills, and abilities meet both the required and preferred qualifications as listed in the position description.
