You are:

A Supply Chain and Operations professional who helps clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and/or fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chains. You use your data skills to develop and implement strategies that improve the entire supply chain process by applying cost efficiency, increasing business effectiveness, and creating synergies and collaboration across companies. You’ve also got the communication skills to make sure that everyone understands your ideas and how to get them working as quickly as possible. Your experience means that people look to you for guidance and ideas. And you know how to make sure teams get their work done on time, every time.

The work

We are seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Planning - Management Consultant to contribute to shaping integrated planning and execution solutions that drive business growth while increasing supply chain resiliency.

Management Consulting Responsibilities

  • Contribute to designing and implementing business changes that drive industry-specific function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on tasks relating to people and processes.
  • Assist with designing new business processes based on customer requirements, user review sessions, and stakeholder agreement meetings.
  • Work alone or as part of large, diverse teams as needed, either at the client or at Accenture.
  • Support translating strategic direction and business objectives established by clients into holistic strategies and actions.
  • Participate in diagnosing problems and planning and supporting transformations.
  • Assist with implementing programs/interventions that prepare the organization for the implementation of new business processes.
  • Leverage Accenture’s methods, tools, and assets to help with the design and delivery of outcomes.
  • Help with identifying/assessing complex problems and creating solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors that are implemented by the team.

Supply Chain Planning Transformation Responsibilities

  • Support the shaping of client’s planning transformation vision, focus areas, and journey from the current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment.
  • Under the direction of the deliver initiative planner/architect, assist with the design and implementation of Supply Chain solutions, processes, and operating model by leveraging Accenture’s implementation methodology.
  • Build and apply technical, industry, organization, and functional knowledge to support client efforts.
  • Participate in workstreams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture.

Here’s what you need:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on supply chain transformations, including advanced functional-level understanding of at least one of the following: o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, SAP IBP or SAP S4 .
  • Minimum of 2 years’ external experience at a consulting firm or 4 years of internal consulting experience in a role equivalent to Accenture Consultant level within industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 8 years) work experience.

Bonus points if:

  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications.
  • You can use the latest data analytics tools to spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).

Professional qualifications:

  • You work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, applying research and analysis skills as well as diagnosis skills.
  • You excel in a team-oriented, collaborative professional setting.
  • You possess excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Important Information

Travel will be required for this role and is estimated to be no more than 50%. However, it is important to note that travel may vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
