About the team:
We are building a new team to grow TikTok's business for the long-term by exploring new ways to sustainably fund access to the platform. Currently, we offer advertisers opportunities to make meaningful connections with our community and for users to discover interesting and useful products; we're exploring new ways for users to subscribe to premium features and receive additional benefits. As a member of this team, you'll connect features and experiences from across TikTok and beyond to create a compelling package and membership program, providing more choices to users on how they want to access TikTok while continuing to uphold our high commitment to privacy.
What you'll be doing:
- Identify high value user segments, existing features, and markets to offer a new premium subscription-based access tier.
- Drive the design, development, and iteration of new features to enhance subscribers' value and experience.
- Collaborate with technical and nontechnical cross-functional stakeholders in the US, EU, and CN/SG to define product strategy, build hypothesis-driven experiment frameworks, evaluate trade-offs and metrics, and lead the go-to-market strategy for owned product areas.
- Use various quantitative and qualitative research methods, partnering with researchers, to form and test hypotheses on compelling feature bundles, pricing, and value propositions.
- Set the long-term vision for your areas of ownership, build roadmaps and product development plans, and secure leadership alignment. Navigate technical details with immediate tech teams while effectively conveying broader strategic concepts to executives—proficient in addressing both the 10-feet and 10K-feet level details.
- Collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional partners and stakeholders and a diverse group of partner teams within the company and beyond to bring together a world-class subscription offering.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, successfully guiding one or more products through the entire product cycle, from conceptualization to launch (Note: This does not include total years of experience).
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills, utilizing a facts and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Highly analytical, with a laser focus on user needs. Proven ability to define a product roadmap in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty. Data and action-oriented, even when limited data is available.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a scrappy and proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with premium subscription products, including pricing, feature sets, and go-to-market.
- MBA degree.

Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $311600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
