Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.
JOB SUMMARY :Hartmann is a residential treatment program for adolescents with substance use issues and/or co-occurring disorders. The Substance Use Counselor works in the Hartmann Center to provide substance abuse education and to foster recovery skill building. The counselor provides individual, family and group counseling and additional services to youth diagnosed with a primary substance use disorder. Seeking to contribute to the success of the Hartmann youth as well as the agency as a whole, the Substance Use Counselor will provide services to youth on their caseload in an effort to reach goals related to reduction of use, relapse prevention, increased family functioning and a reduction of recidivism as it relates to the juvenile justice system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Conduct groups, individual counseling and psychoeducation as delineated via program licensure by Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH)/Health Facility Regulation (HFR).
  • Follow established guidelines in the Program Plan.
  • Complete Service Plan Development's, and all other supporting assessments, including UDS, & documentation for individuals.
  • Maintains a caseload of individuals ensuring compliance with policies and procedures re: documentation and services are being provided per and individual's treatment plan recommendations.
  • Follow-up calls with referrals and participation in Treatment/consultation/clinical team meetings.
  • Complete monthly Treatment Plan reviews and discharge/transition persons served, as clinically indicated.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelors Degree in Helping Field
  • CACII, CADCII, NCAC, or MAC
  • Associate License or Licensed Professional Counselor/Clinical Social Worker/Marriage and Family Therapist as per the State of Georgia
  • At least 1 year experience working in Mental Health or substance use disorder field
  • Must be female and 21 years or older.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus
