Description
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.
- Review and prepare technical accounting memos and documentation to support accounting decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for new transactions and business initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and addressing any technical accounting inquiries.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to reflect current standards and best practices.
- Provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on technical accounting matters.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and standards and assess their impact on the organization.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 5+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with complex accounting issues and transactions.
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
