Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our client's dynamic organization. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees a team of 20+ professionals across various financial functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise in financial management to drive our organization's financial health and growth. This is a Hybrid Flexible role (1-2 days WFH).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize the daily operations of the Finance Department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Oversee the production of comprehensive financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, for all organizational entities.
- Spearhead financial planning and analysis initiatives, providing crucial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments to ensure accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
- Direct treasury operations, including cash management and investment strategies.
- Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices are in place and continuously improved.
- Lead the coordination of external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technologies to enhance departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA required.
- Previous public accounting experience highly desired.
- 8-10+ years of progressive experience in financial management roles within large, complex organizations (must have multi-entity consolidations).
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to financial management.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to effectively present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in healthcare finance is a significant advantage.
