Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our client's dynamic organization. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees a team of 20+ professionals across various financial functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise in financial management to drive our organization's financial health and growth. This is a Hybrid Flexible role (1-2 days WFH).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and optimize the daily operations of the Finance Department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Oversee the production of comprehensive financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, for all organizational entities.
  3. Spearhead financial planning and analysis initiatives, providing crucial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  4. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  5. Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments to ensure accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
  6. Direct treasury operations, including cash management and investment strategies.
  7. Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices are in place and continuously improved.
  8. Lead the coordination of external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  9. Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  10. Drive the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technologies to enhance departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA required.
  2. Previous public accounting experience highly desired.
  3. 8-10+ years of progressive experience in financial management roles within large, complex organizations (must have multi-entity consolidations).
  4. Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  5. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to financial management.
  7. Advanced proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools.
  8. Outstanding communication skills, able to effectively present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  9. Experience in healthcare finance is a significant advantage.
