The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. The Chamber’s mission is to promote the interests and success of its members - small and large businesses, civic organizations, educational institutions and nonprofits through education, networking, marketing, and community enhancement. The Director also facilitates the local tourism council which seeks to promote the area's many attractions such as its famous bike trails, shopping and restaurants, excellent trout streams, wooden bridges, markets, concerts and events. Qualified candidates will have a business background, marketing and bookkeeping experience, a proven history of leadership and civic engagement and an outgoing, positive personality. This is a full time position which often requires weekend and evening responsibilities. Salary is negotiable and will depend on qualifications and experience.
