WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As Sr. Director / Vice President of Member Analytics, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring that you and your team deliver high-quality reporting and insightful analytics to both existing and prospective PA member companies. This is a high-visibility role, collaborating directly with PA’s executive leadership and supplier partners to successfully close new business, while ensuring that our Member Management teams are armed with the information required to satisfy member needs. ‘Analytics’ is in our name and our DNA, and you will be the leader of our Analytics tower. You will be expected to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our Analytics offerings, while also developing and upskilling a team of analytics professionals. Every day is different, but you can expect to:

  1. Hold full accountability for your team’s performance in delivering member-facing analytics.
  2. Enhance new member close rate and velocity by elevating the speed and quality of our benchmarking process and outputs.
  3. Collaborate with other senior executives and business development team to present benchmarking results in a consultative and insightful manner.
  4. Engage and negotiate with supplier partners to ensure that benchmark results are accurate and that members are receiving optimal value.
  5. Support our Member Management team’s efforts to enhance member satisfaction and retention by developing more insightful and actionable analytical products.
  6. Unlock hidden potential in PA’s dataset by developing new use cases and monetization opportunities and expanding PA’s brand.
  7. Identify and evaluate tools and applications to continuously improve internal processes and data products.
  8. Be a subject matter expert who can credibly and convincingly develop a compelling story supported by numbers.
  9. Externally, participate in industry forums and build relationships with industry peers to understand and adopt industry best practices.
  10. Develop tracking of pricing trends and various producer/ consumer indices like PPI, PMI, CPI, etc. in detail to help build historic sales patterns and forecasting.
  11. Work with key contract suppliers on special pricing arrangements, pricing challenges, purchasing actions for special projects and programs, identify and resolve customer issues across the portfolio.
  12. Develop, track, and present key performance indicators to PA’s leadership team and stakeholders.
  13. Guide, motivate, and coach multiple senior and junior staff members, helping them achieve both their professional development goals.
  14. Model PA’s core principles and the standards.

ABOUT YOU:

This is a critical position on PA’s executive leadership team. You will own our benchmarking and analytics processes and product suite, which are core to our sales process and ongoing member support. Qualified candidates must meet a set of criteria we deem essential for both of those responsibilities:

  1. Ability to project executive presence in internal and external situations, frequently engaging with the highest levels of Member and Supplier leadership.
  2. Articulate and compelling verbal, written, and presentation skills are vital.
  3. Rigorous analytical skills and the ability to weave numbers into insights that simplify complex issues.
  4. Highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and inclusive leader.

  8. Undergraduate from a competitive program with strong academic results; Masters/MBA with focus in statistics, analytics, data science or equivalent experience highly preferred.
  9. Extensive experience developing and presenting data-based insights and action plans for senior stakeholders.
  10. Experience managing large datasets and multiple applications.
  11. Direct management of multiple junior and senior team members in US and India.
  12. Experience with purchasing data.
  13. Knowledge of MRO and other indirect categories.
  14. Prior experience in consulting preferred but not required.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS / LOGISTICS:

Role will be based at PA headquarters in Atlanta with occasional travel to member offices expected.
