JOB OVERVIEW

The Client Business Manager is a trusted member of the Client Finance department that partners with Account Management teams in overseeing all financial aspects related to a given client or group of clients. This position assists the CFO and Directors of Finance to ensure financial controls and policies are in place and are followed.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management/Contracts

  • Learn specifics of client Master Service Agreements and SOWS to ensure all contractual obligations are disseminated and followed
  • Create staff plans and price projects
  • Prepare labor reports and provide utilization analysis
  • Coordinate with client and billing teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
  • Review monthly client budgets and actuals with Account to verify billing, revenue recognition, under-servicing/over-servicing of staff plans
  • Review Account Receivables and WIP reports regularly
  • Ad hoc reporting requests from Account and Project Management

Financial Reporting/Analysis

  • Prepare month-end revenue calculations and journal entries for respective clients.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly results packages and review with Finance management and Account teams.
  • Explain any variances in revenue results vs forecast.
  • Work with regional controllers as needed for revenue recognition and internal/external audit preparation
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting

Administrative

  • Learn and uphold time reporting, job maintenance, and estimating processes to ensure consistency across clients in SAP/Fiori systems
  • Maintain all company level and client level rate card functionality in SAP to facilitate labor reporting and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with Financial Process & Systems teams to resolve errant time posting and job closing issues

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 3-5 years of experience in a client finance role having regular exposure to financial concepts such as revenue recognition, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable.
  • Familiarity with media/advertising/creative agency business models highly preferred
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions and formulas to perform VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, and SUMIFs.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP systems preferred
  • Experience extracting data from financial reporting systems and databases, compiling this data into digestible insights, and communicating those insights to non-financially-minded team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills prioritizing the workload of regular deliverables and ad-hoc requests
  • Self-reliant and able to manage time and deadlines independently with strong attention to detail.

The Office Requirements:

  • The New York City Pay Transparency Law requires employers in New York City to disclose the following information. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 . Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors including but not limited to budgetary and market consideration, as well as an applicant's background experience, pertinent/specialty experience, qualifications, and tenure in role/similar role.
  • FCB has adopted a hybrid working environment. It is required for employees to be in office Tuesday-Thursday and can work from home Monday and Friday.
