Software Engineer III, Full Stack - Front-end heavy

What you will be doing:

Development in Merchandising Technology which provides the systems, integrations, and architecture to support Merchandising business processes at Staples. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing solutions using cutting-edge technology.

7. Demonstrated understanding of fast-paced Agile principles with technical designs, iterative development, and code reviews.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
2. 8+ years of related work experience
3. Proven experience as a Full-Stack Web Developer with expertise in JavaScript and Typescript.
4. Strong knowledge of front-end frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS, ReactJS etc.
5. Proficient in back-end development using NodeJS, Express JS, SQL, MongoDB.
6. Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON, AJAX for efficient data communication.
7. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, Github and working knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA and documentation tools like Confluence.
8. Familiarity with caching technologies like Redis.
9. Webpack expertise for efficient module bundling.
10. Monitoring experience with Datadog, Splunk.
11. Experience with Akamai CDN implementation and knowledge of SEO best practices.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
13. Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree
2. Proven experience taking an idea from inception to life with an ability to explore a variety of open-source technologies.
3. Experience in building low latency and highly scalable distributed systems.
