With Cam Tram joining the CMI family, we are currently searching for a VP of Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning, to support our facilities in Pine Bluff, AR, Panama City, FL and 5 units in Canada. Reporting to the COO, this person will be responsible for planning and forecasting the execution, with optimal utilization of the company’s assets and supplier capabilities, to fulfill customer requests and shareholders expectations.

This position will lead to the deployment of sales processes and practices to ensure consistency and effectiveness of operations to achieve customer satisfaction and financial goals.

Interface and Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing with Customer Strategy Development:

  • Implement sales strategies, translated from portfolio, customer-base, seasonality, and Budget annual/strategic plans.
  • Primary relationship owner with assigned Customer Development Team Leaders and appropriate Customer Business Managers and Product Implementation/Engineering team.
  • Represent the sales team as voice of the customer during all planning/development discussions.
  • Translate various sales strategies to be executed by operations and suppliers.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing to ensure that activation plans are aligned with demand pull/push tactics for operations.
  • Co-develop rationale and recommendations for pricing structure ensuring execution and delivery of those strategies.
  • Represent the customer/channel viewpoint to improve effectiveness and competitiveness strategy.
  • Acts as the focal point between Category Management, Brand Marketing teams, Finance, Engineering, Factories and Supply Chain.
  • Plans all content for annual meetings and sessions.
  • Oversees timelines and is responsible for providing Sales Account teams with timely selling tools and materials.
  • Maintains and centrally stores changes to the forecast and related documents.

Customer and Customer Meetings:

  • Attends and participates in customer line reviews to support the Sales Account Manager.

Supply-side (Factories and vendors) focusing on Executional Excellence:

  • Work with Planning & Scheduling leaders to develop a strategic roadmap for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Lead supply and demand collaboration and ensure capacity planning and product commercialization work collaboratively.
  • Embed structure, discipline, and continuous improvement into the SIOP process.
  • Contribute to the monthly SIOP process with a focus on balancing demand and supply.
  • Assist in the SIOP process including scheduling meetings and coordinating content input.
  • Engage all stakeholders to balance expectations with SIOP performance.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure sufficient capacity exists.
  • Recommend and drive planning process improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and utilize a KPI scorecard.
  • Leverage analytics to provide timely data insights.
  • Lead or participate in various special projects at the direction of executives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales or planning, preferably in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of business, category, and customer priorities.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in project management.
  • Ability to work in a multi-lingual environment; English proficiency required, French and Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient with MS-Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles and SIOP process.
  • Previous experience with data tools and customer data portals.
  • Ability to apply business financial knowledge to support growth.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% is required.
