Project Accountant Perrysburg, OH 43551Project Accountant Position DescriptionPosition: Project AccountantReport to: Assistant ControllerJob Description OverviewKwest Group is looking for an energetic, motivated Project Accountant, to be based out of our Perrysburg, Ohio office. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our project team. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, energetic, highly motivated and driven to excel in all aspects of the position, including (but not limited to):Preparation and set up of jobsSetup and manage billings to include ensuring timeliness, compiling, organizing, and summarizing supporting documents, some will originate in the field.Managing accuracy and approval of invoices that have an accompanying PO or subcontractWork with Project Manager to arrange and manage company resources on all projects.When needed, travel to project sites to assist Project team.Perform all duties consistent with the Company Mission Statement and the “Kwest Group” philosophy.ResponsibilitiesBack up, code, apply to PO and approve invoicesSet up billings, create billings in software applicationsMonitor and manage Account Receivables up to 60 days past due. Anything older should involve the PM. Anything over 90 days, involve CFO and Director of Project Management.Generate, with the approval of the PM, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders and enter in the system.Entering job-related invoices into the accounting systemSetting up jobs in Dexter ChaneySetting up cost codes in Dexter ChaneyMatching backup to invoices in Dexter ChaneyECAC detailed reviewEnsuring ECAC completionIncome statement account reconciliationBudget preparationBalance sheet work papersNew measurables as assignedAssist at month end and year end with reports and reconciliationsMaintain a positive attitude and good working relationship with all customers, internal and externalOther duties as assignedRequirements and QualificationsStrong knowledge of MS Office softwareCrystal Reports and Dexter Chaney experience preferred3+ years’ experience in accounting/office environment in construction industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multi-task and prioritize projects, completing complex administrative tasks with minimal supervisionBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience.Ability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and regional / divisional officesTravel may include air travel and overnight hotel stays.Position is based on a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to adjust during busier weeks, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.Must be able to pass a background & drug test.Working Conditions & Physical DemandsFrequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.Regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the team member may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The team member must be able to differentiate and / or identify colors.Must have knowledge of occupational hazards in construction field and standard safety practices.
