Job Description

The Manager of Global Sales Excellence will be a member of Visa’s Global Sales and Commercial Operations team. The team plays a vital role in designing and executing key Sales Excellence initiatives.

The position requires a professional with a passion for sales excellence, ability to execute flawlessly in a fast-paced environment, effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the global rollout and execution of Visa’s Sales Operating Model 2.0 and its key elements (i.e., Sales Operating Model, Client Segmentation, Treatment and Coverage), working closely with our Sales Excellence colleagues in regions and business units.
  • Work on major project workstreams related to Sales Excellence initiatives (i.e., Inside Sales, Sales Role Taxonomy, Account Planning, Stakeholder Mapping, Global Recognition Event and Sales Contests) and assist with project management.
  • Partner with our Sales Enablement, Sales Tools and Business Performance colleagues to drive forward key initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities across the regional and business unit Sales Excellence teams to ensure global initiatives are executed consistently, and to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Measure process and execution impact and efficacy, and develop targeted action plans to remediate gaps, where necessary.
  • Structure and analyze large data sets (i.e., renewals, sales metrics) and synthesize into a more easily consumable storyboard format for leadership.
  • Structure and solve business opportunities, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on Sales Excellence key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to gather market insights, best practices, and identify roadblocks to growth, develop strategies to address, and work jointly to execute them.
  • Take the lead on preparing presentations and materials that will be reviewed and discussed with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Typically requires 3-5 years total experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking or equivalent.
  • Experience in and/or significant exposure to financial services and the payments industry not required, but a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize leadership direction quickly and spin up presentations with very little oversight.
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels, lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams across the globe.
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure, analyze large data sets, and gather insights and narratives.
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with functional and regional leaders within Visa.
  • Initiative-taker, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
