The UPS Store Waipahu FTPT Sales Associate

We are a local family-owned The UPS Store Franchise in the center of old-town Waipahu, within yards of the new Pouhala HART Station and the Waipahu Bus Transit Center, adjacent to Highway Inn.

We are looking to add a Full-Time/Part-Time Associate who delivers world-class service to all customers. This person must love interacting with people and be able to work independently to solve and discover customer needs. This may include shipping, printing, processing, dropping off packages, taking passport photos, etc. Because we offer various services, training is full-paid and continuous throughout employment.

• Our preferred candidate is currently a Notary Public in Hawaii *

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers World Class customer service
• Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and store leadership
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices expertly and is willing to teach others
• Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
• Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• May open and/or close the store, perform beginning and end-of-day accounting and administrative tasks, etc.
• Participates in center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization
• Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
• Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and adequately cushioning contents
• Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality control
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Retail/customer service experience
• Ability to learn and use POS systems
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
• Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services
• Good communication and people skills
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Able to lift 40+ pounds
