POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Fundraising Manager will support the Curebound Cancer Challenge by taking ownership of a portfolio of fundraisers with a primary focus to lead, grow, and optimize the revenue and recruitment growth. This role will focus on building teams of fundraising participants and top fundraising individuals to achieve annual peer-to-peer revenue goals. This position is primarily externally focused and is a fantastic opportunity for a goal driven fundraising professional to make a significant impact on cancer research. This a primarily a relational role that requires someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities while working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
PRIORITIES FOR 2025
Develop understanding of Curebound’s Campaign strategy
- Deep dive into Curebound’s revenue targets and priorities for the year specifically pertaining to the Curebound Cancer Challenge. Understand how this role contributes to achieving goals through campaign coordination and support.
- Help implement or improve systems for tracking donor engagement, sponsorship commitments, and campaign progress. Ensure that all relevant data is recorded in Salesforce accurately.
- Review past campaign performance, understanding revenue trends, participant feedback, and engagement patterns.
Take ownership of a portfolio of fundraisers
- Establish relationships with portfolio of team captains, top fundraisers, and donors as needed.
- Set up a cadence of communication to maintain engagement, provide updates, and offer support.
- Collaborate with each fundraiser to set achievable yet ambitious fundraising goals aligned with organizational targets.
PRIMARY ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Curebound Cancer Challenge portfolio of fundraisers (70%)
- Take ownership of a portfolio of 200+ existing teams and top fundraisers that raises $1,000,000+.
- Engage and coach team captains and top fundraisers to drive recruitment and fundraising by setting goals, supporting their efforts, and providing tools and resources.
- Coordinate and participate in unique recruitment events to support fundraising, registration, education, team growth, and retention.
- Work with Director to plan and execute team captain events to thank, encourage, and educate team captains and increase retention numbers.
- Work with team to create a pipeline of donors to grow mid-level and major gift prospects
- Become proficient in using the organization’s tools (Salesforce, Donor Drive, etc.), to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Develop and implement key strategies for growth in priorities groups (10%)
- Work with Director and Revenue Generation team to create a plan to support and reward top fundraising participants for their efforts.
- Help design and execute events and incentive gifts for top fundraisers on and around Cancer Challenge event weekend including apparel and hotel stays to engage and ultimately retain top fundraisers.
Assist in management of Advisory Committee execution (10%)
- Work with Director to develop cadence of meetings and key topics to drive agendas and materials.
- Assist in developing presentations, dashboards, and requested sales/ fundraising materials.
Other duties and special projects as assigned (10%)
- Be a good steward of the Curebound’s relationship development process by engaging with community members and identifying individual engagement potential.
- Support Curebound Connects, Concert for Cures, Training Events, etc.
- Special projects as assigned.
REQUISITE SKILLS + EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 4-6+ years of experience working within the nonprofit fundraising/philanthropy sector, or sales organization required
- Direct peer-to-peer fundraising and event fundraising or direct sales experience required
- Experience growing revenue through relationship development and community engagement efforts
- Experience in setting and achieving goals based on data and analytics
- Proven effectiveness in working with volunteers and fundraisers
- Prior experience managing a relationship portfolio with key deliverables and metrics required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
- Excellent project management skills and ability to hold self and others accountable

COMPENSATION
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the compensation target for this position, exclusive of additional benefits, is $75K. Final base salary will be determined based on factors such as previous experience, specific skills, and/or education. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
