As a Process Engineer at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.
In this role, you will directly contribute to ___.
What You'll DoResponsible for managing and executing defect inspection, review and chemical analysis projects using state of the art 300mm metrology infrastructure in order to provide differentiated process technology solutions for optimum yield, on-wafer performance and productivity. Additional experience in analytical techniques such as AFM, FTIR, XPS, XRF, XRR and XRD is highly preferred.
Develop size calibrated optical inspector applications to detect particles on various surfaces with high sensitivity and productivity by closely collaborating with process technologists. Use calibrated particle deposition techniques and numerical simulations to maximize particle detection sensitivities of the latest generation inspectors down to 10nm.
Implement e-beam based review applications to enable high resolution morphology and chemical analysis of particles using state of the art review SEM tools. Leverage advanced enterprise software systems and databases to develop AI-based defect classification solutions in support of key product development and other business critical projects. Use the latest developments in the e-beam technologies to develop predictive massive metrology and inspection solutions to detect, quantify defect types/sizes exceeding 1B+ defects.
Leverage relevant Deep Learning techniques to analyze large amounts of data in order to identify high value trends and to extract mechanistic knowledge and root-causes of defect formation. Develop predictive metrology calibrated defectivity models to enable realistic defect simulations in collaboration with process/productivity and simulation teams.
When fully integrated, make recommendations and develop solutions that enhance Lam's overall defect inspection and review capability roadmap to reduce time to solution.
Implement and perform SPC methods for periodic evaluation of key metrology assets to ensure that toolsets are operating at optimum performance levels.
