Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative to sell building supplies within the construction industry.
More specifically we are looking for someone who has worked with white cement for specialty applications such as stucco, plaster, columns, balusters etc. We are looking for this individual to mainly support CA, but also cover to WA, AZ, NV. This individual will build strategic relationships with builders, contractors, restoration companies, architects and anyone within the construction industry that may benefit from our products.
Applicants must possess a positive and energetic attitude and exceptional customer service and communication skills. Must be extremely detailed and have the ability to meet or exceed customers expectations. Must have a professional demeanor and ability to present yourself well to the public.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and facilitate the execution of client programs, project specifications and ensuring quality project completion in support of our operations team.
- Maintain deep relationships with clients, understand their challenges and needs.
- Ability to develop and grow a book of new business, and existing accounts under your command.
- Influence, delegate, and communicate, in a deadline driven environment, ensuring sound planning, exceptional service, and a solid client relationship.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of activities carried out on behalf of assigned clients; change plans as necessary to produce results.
- Meet regularly with management team to share the status of accounts and troubleshoot any challenges.
- Travel as needed throughout the Metro-Columbus area.
Qualifications Required:
- Self-motivated
- Experience developing, cultivating, and closing opportunities with Clients
- Must be willing to travel and cover a multi-state territory
- Experience within the construction industry
- Pre-existing builder, general contractor, architect relationships
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and client communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Three or more years of related experience
- Excellent working knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and others as required
Salary plus commission, full benefit options, car allowance or company car (must have clean MVR) and PTO.
