The position is a 12-month, full-time Administrative Professional position.Colorado State University is establishing a top-ranked Construction Engineering program ( CON -E), in partnership with industry leaders and with enthusiastic support from university leadership. Through strong collaboration between the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering and the College of Health and Human Sciences, the program leverages existing strengths in the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction Management Departments. The program will welcome the first cohort of students starting fall 2025 and is in the process of seeking ABET accreditation.Thoughtfully designed to create a premier program valued by both students and industry, the CSU Construction Engineering program will have a competitive advantage above peer institutions with expert faculty and industry participation, dedicated staff, and innovative learning spaces, all of which are crucial to success. Key to establishing a top program, a robust student support program will recruit and retain the right students who will fuel the workforce pipeline and develop into future industry leaders.Position SummaryThis position plays a critical role in promoting undergraduate student recruitment and success through a variety of activities including outreach and promotion of the construction and engineering industry, career paths, and the construction engineering major, working closely with relevant department committees and entities both internal and external to the university.The Academic Advisor and Student Recruitment Coordinator works to increase student recruitment and retention and is a professional representative providing information to potential prospective students, their families, counselors, and other groups interested in the CON -E program. This position will identify and recruit quality students to the undergraduate program in alignment with CON -E program priorities. The coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for prospective students and families, with a focus on creating access to higher education and providing excellent customer service.The Academic Advisor and Student Recruitment Coordinator will provide advising and academic success support to transfer, prospective, and current undergraduate students. This position supports an innovative and integrated approach to providing students with the resources necessary to navigate their collegiate experience and degree completion. This will involve some travel and working occasional nights and weekends.Develop and implement strategies to strengthen partnerships with high schools and community colleges to support student recruitment to the CON -E program at CSU .Market and coordinate university, college, and CON -E events (such as Explore CSU and Ram Welcome), as well as external events, with prospective students and their families so that they can make an informed decision regarding a major in construction engineering.Participate in relevant department committees, seek input from faculty and staff to plan and execute recruitment events, and develop and oversee recruitment budgets.
